The journal Literature of the Americas has been approved for inclusion in the international database Ulrich's Periodicals Directory. Ulrich's Periodicals Directory provides information about more than 300,000 periodicals from 90,000 publishers covering 950 subject areas and 200 languages. Detailed bibliographic records include data such as ISSN and title, publisher, online availability, subject area, language, abstracting and indexing coverage, searchable tables of contents, and full-text reviews.

The Gorky media published a material on police violence against black people in African American literature of the 20th century. Olga Panova, editor-in-chief of Literature of the Americas, Doctor Hab. of Philology, lead research fellow at IWL RAS, compiled a short guide to racial issues in the works of African American writers of the twentieth century.
